
COT SCHOLARSHIPS
2026-2027
College of Theology Scholarships: Academic Year 2026-2027
GCU’s College of Theology (COT) was blessed to receive funds in support of students within the college due to the generosity of donors who participated in the university’s Day of Giving initiative. Based on donor contributions, COT is able to award two Emerging Ministry Leaders scholarships of $750 distributed to the financial aid accounts of awarded students.
COT majors and COT minors are encouraged to apply, and this is a competitive scholarship with eligibility requirements. Available funds will be distributed to recipients during the 2026–2027 academic year. Eligibility criteria consist of the following:
- Current ministry involvement with pastoral recommendation
- Past ministry involvement
- Future ministry commitment
- Academic recommendation from a COT instructor
- GPA
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm, February 14, 2026 Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted.
Inclusion of a letter of recommendation is strongly encouraged. Letters of recommendation should come from a pastoral leader in the student’s church of membership or a member of COT’s faculty.
**Scholarship recipients will be notified via email prior to the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
EMERGING MINISTRY LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP
Purpose: The Emerging Ministry Leaders Scholarship has been established to support students who sense a call to ministry as they prepare to faithfully teach and serve in accordance with Scripture.
Eligibility: This scholarship is available for Theology majors and Theology minors who plan to serve as ministers and/or Christian leaders upon graduation. Please review all eligibility criteria in the PDF linked below prior to applying.
