Rich Holland, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Philosophy
My wife, Larissa, and I have been married for 25 years and we have four children. Our three boys are aged 20, 17, and 15, and our daughter is 13. My family and I relocated to the valley from Virginia in the summer of 2018. Since 2008, I have taught theology and philosophy at both public and private universities. I earned my Ph.D. and M.Div. degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and my undergraduate degree is in Mechanical Engineering, from Virginia Tech. I have two published books. My most recent book is Good Arguments: Making Your Case in Writing and Public Speaking (Baker Academic, 2017), that I co-authored with one of my former colleagues; and my other book is God, Time, and the Incarnation (Wipf and Stock, 2012).
